The homer. One of sports grandest sights. It could be a weak line that cleared the wall or a pop up that glances off the foul pole. Or if it is a shot that goes from 40 to 50 rows back. It is still a home run. We love to check out the batters get a hold of one …
Here are some of the big hitters of home race. I have classified these home run hitters in a distinctive way. Fun with numbers. These statistics include the 2004 season.
Most home runs 50 or more seasons
Babe Ruth, Sammy Sosa and Mark McGuire in 4 seasons of each
Willie Mays, Mickey Mantle, Alex Rodriguez, Jimmie Foxx
Ralph Kiner and Ken Griffey Jr. with 2 of each season
Most 40 or more homer seasons
Babe Ruth – 12 seasons
Barry Bonds, Hank Aaron, Harmon Killabrew – 8 stations each
Ken Griffey Jr., Sammy Sosa with 7 stations each
Willie Mays, Mark McGwire, Alex Rodriguez 6 seasons each (now 7 years, including 2005)
Most home runs 30 or more seasons
Hank Aaron — 15 seasons

Some More Home Run Data
From Ted Williams, Stan Musial and Joe DiMaggio were hit 1357 homers. Among the three had dos 40 home run seasons.
When Joe DiMaggio hit 46 homers in 1937, struck out 37 times.
Fred Lynn hit 23 home runs four years in a row.
Duke Snider had five seasons of 40 homers – all in a row.
Hank Aaron hit 44 homers four distinct seasons, wore uniform number 44.
Willie Mays, Ralph Kiner, Mickey Mantle and Jimmie Foxx are the youngest players to hit 50 homers in a season. They hit 50 when they were 24 years of age.
The oldest player to hit at least 50 in a season is Barry Bonds. He hit 73 in 200. He was 36 years old.
